Is Marxism popular in India?
What is Marxism? In layman's definitions, a Marxist society is a place where there is no difference between the rich and poor people. A society where the rich people can't harass the poor people. This might seems very peaceful and good idea, but according to Marxists, such society can only be made by violent revolution. Because the rich people will try every possible way to stop the transition of society so the marxists argue that the violent revolution is necessary to bring a change in the society. But such a revolution is not possible in present time. In such condition, an ideal marxist is expected to prepare comrades and gather political support for the future revolution. In practical terms, this will increase the gap between the different classes of poor, harm the economy and liberty of people and damage the common people.
